When a signed in user has the role of 'viewer', only the 'Signed in user' section will be active.

# Customer client

Sub clients can be set up in the JAS portal. Setting up sub clients in the JAS portal. Sub clients allow data across companies to be captured and reported on separately. Ensure that the correct sub client has been selected before capturing any data.

# Signed in user

This displays the current signed in user. Signing out will return the app to the log in page.

# Options

# Capture video

Ensure this is turned on in order to capture video for the assessment. Video can be enabled without audio.

# Capture audio

Ensure this is turned on in order to capture audio for the assessment. Video must be enabled in order to be able to record audio.

# Check valid sensor positioning

A check is run during the normalisation process to ensure that the sensors are correctly positioned on the person. It is recommended that this setting is turned on.

# Video only capture

This should be turned on only where the sensors cannot be used.

# Permissions

These are the permissions that have been granted to the app during installation.

  • Camera - required for video capture of task assessments.
  • Microphone - required for audio capture during task assessments.
  • Location when in use - useful for geotagging of assessments to allow for searching by geographic location.
  • Notifications - allows the app to alert the user about any important information relating to the app or assessments, even when the app is not in use.

# Graph magnitude zones

Can be used to adjust the thresholds of the graph magnitudes when viewing a risk assessment. This does not affect the risk score calculation

# Sensor type

The JAS app currently supports two different types of sensors, v1 are the original MBIENTLAB sensors, v2 are the new Xsens sensors. When switching between sensors it is required that the JAS app is restarted. Restarting an app (opens new window).

# About

This shows the installed JAS app version and build number. A notification email will be sent out whenever a new version is available in the app store. The installed version can be checked against the new version to see if an update is required. It is recommended to keep your JAS app up to date with the latest version at all times.
